PIEDMONT SHORE 1 (DORMELLETTO - STRESA)

Arona and the park of the Borromean Fortress

Arona is a picturesque town on Lake Maggiore, famous for its imposing statue of St. Charles Borromeo.
Rocca Borromea Park, located on the hillside of Arona, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
Inside the park, you can visit the Rocca Borromea, an imposing medieval fortress, and relax in its park.

Meina, Lesa and Belgirate

Meina, Lesa and Belgirate are charming towns on the shores of Lake Maggiore, characterized by enchanting natural beauty.
Meina boasts a charming lakefront promenade with beautiful historic villas and a peaceful atmosphere.
Lesa offers a picturesque old town with ancient churches and a pleasant lakeside promenade.
Belgirate, on the other hand, is famous for its elegant lakefront, where you can relax and admire the view of the serene waters of the lake.
Picturesque old towns offer quaint cafes, restaurants, and stores, where you can enjoy local cuisine and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the lake.

Stresa and Villa Pallavicino

Stresa is a renowned tourist resort on Lake Maggiore, with an elegant atmosphere and spectacular panoramic views of the Borromean Islands.
One of the most fascinating places to visit in Stresa is Villa Pallavicino, surrounded by beautiful botanical gardens.
Here, visitors can stroll among centuries-old trees, colorful flowers and admire exotic animals in their natural habitat, thanks to the zoo inside the villa.

PIEDMONT SHORE 2 (STRESA - CANNOBIO)

Stresa

Stresa, besides being famous for its beauty and elegant atmosphere, also offers a wide range of boutiques and fine restaurants.
Visitors can stroll along the promenade overlooking the lake, enjoy a break at one of the outdoor cafes, or shop in the streets of the historic center.
The town also hosts numerous cultural and musical events, such as the Stresa Festival and the Stresa Jazz Festival, which attract internationally renowned artists.

Feriolo

Feriolo is a delightful village on the shores of Lake Maggiore with a beautiful beach and a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere.
Here, visitors can enjoy sunbathing on the sand, take a dip in the crystal-clear waters of the lake, and savor local specialties at restaurants overlooking the lake.
Feriolo is also an ideal base for hiking in the surrounding mountains and enjoying water sports such as sailing and windsurfing.

Lakefront Suna, Pallanza and Villa Giulia

The Suna and Pallanza lakefront is a wonderful promenade that stretches along the shores of Lake Maggiore, offering breathtaking panoramic views.
Suna is famous for its quaint old town, with charming narrow streets and historic buildings.
Pallanza is home to Villa Giulia, a splendid historic residence surrounded by magnificent Italian gardens, where visitors can stroll among ancient trees, fountains, and statues.
Pallanza is also home to the Museo del Paesaggio.

Villa Taranto

Villa Taranto is famous for its spectacular botanical gardens, which cover an area of more than 16 hectares.
The gardens feature a vast collection of plants from around the world, including colorful flowers, ancient trees and exotic species.
Visitors can stroll along shady paths, through flower beds and across picturesque ponds, admiring the beauty of nature and enjoying panoramic views of the lake.

Intra, Cannero Riviera and Cannobio

Intra is a charming town located on Lake Maggiore, known for its charming historic center and the presence of numerous stores, cafes, and restaurants.
Cannero Riviera is famous for its medieval castles located directly on the shores of the lake, creating a fairy-tale atmosphere.
Also known for its citrus fruits, lemons, oranges and citrons.
Cannobio offers a picturesque lakeside promenade with ancient trees and beautiful views, as well as a lively weekly market where you can buy local products and handicrafts.

THE BORROMEAN ISLANDS AND MOTTARONE

Borromean Islands

The Borromean Islands, consisting of three main islands-Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola dei Pescatori-are one of the main attractions of Lake Maggiore.
Isola Bella is famous for its majestic Borromeo Palace, surrounded by magnificent terraced gardens.
Isola Madre offers beautiful botanical gardens with a large collection of exotic plants.
Isola dei Pescatori features picturesque narrow streets and colorful houses, with restaurants and stores overlooking the lake.

Alpinia Garden

The Alpinia Garden, located on Mottarone, is an enchanting alpine garden that is home to a wide variety of alpine plants.
Visitors can explore scenic trails, admiring the beauty of the rocks, flowers and alpine vegetation.
The garden also offers spaces for relaxation and contemplation, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the tranquility of alpine nature.

Mottarone

Mottarone is a mountain located between Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta, offering spectacular panoramic views of 7 lakes and the surrounding Alps.
You can reach the top of Mottarone with our Lakecars, enjoying a unique experience and breathtaking views.
The mountain also offers opportunities for hiking, summer walks, and winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding during the winter season.

THE LOMBARD SHORE (DORMELLETTO - LAVENO)

Sesto Calende

Sesto Calende is a picturesque town located at the mouth of the Ticino River in Lake Maggiore.
It is known for its striking bridge over the river, which offers lovely views and the opportunity for peaceful walks along the banks.
The town is also famous for its tradition of boat building, which can be admired in the Traditional Boat Museum located nearby.

Fortress of Angera

The Rocca di Angera is an imposing medieval fortress located on the eastern shore of Lake Maggiore.
Inside the complex you can visit the Museum of Dolls and Applied Arts, which houses a large collection of vintage dolls and handcrafted objects.
Spectacular views of the lake and surrounding mountains can be enjoyed from the top of the Rocca.

Hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso and Laveno

The Hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso is a fascinating rock-cut monastic complex located on the shores of Lake Maggiore.
This place of worship offers an evocative experience, with ancient frescoes, chapels and a unique spiritual atmosphere.
The hermitage can be reached from the forecourt above by descending a scenic 268-step staircase.

Laveno is a pretty lakeside town with a picturesque promenade and a scenic cable car that leads to Mount Sasso del Ferro, from which there are 360-degree panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
